We are assembling a founding engineering team to create the world's next great social platform - one that brings us together again in the real world.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced web app developer (frontend/full-stack), an iOS developer, and a backend engineer who are passionate about using social media to make a positive impact. Woopdo is a place where everyday people and influencers join forces to bring incredible ideas to life. You’ll be joining a veteran team of entrepreneurs with multiple funded startups, Y-combinator graduates, and deep social platform expertise.

As an engineer at Woopdo, you will join a startup as a founding teammate, and own the technology stack and all things related to platform development. You will help shape the product and translate user needs and pain points into a fully developed web or iOS app. You will be part of the founding team, involved in all major decisions and build an amazing company from the ground up.

About the startup 

Woopdo is the social app that wants to bring us back together. On Woopdo, anyone can launch actions called “Woops” that allow friends to bond in real life activities. For creators Woopdo is a game-changer. Creators can launch actions and join forces with other creators and brands, all whilst creating organic content and meaningful impact. Co-founders include iOS / product / creators / business.

• Passion for social field, experience with social platform systems a plus

Compensation: Entrepreneurial salary with equity

A full time/part-time paid role in combination with meaningful equity i.e. your primary motivation is stock equity as you join the founding team and get direct ownership in the company. We are looking for a founding entrepreneur who wants as much equity as possible and the ideal candidate will work for a minimal salary. Minimal depends greatly on person to person, and will be discussed over an interview. After funding salaries increase to a competitive level. We are actively fundraising now and looking to share more about the project; give a chance to meet the other teammates, and see what appetite you have for building a company and becoming a meaningful owner.

Location

The incubator is based in San Francisco and Barcelona. This is a remote role although if you’re based where we are we’ll have an opportunity to meet at one of our offices.
